What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on October 11, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from March 1, 2022 to October 11, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $7,424.96, which includes rent arrears up to October 11, 2022 and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 20, 2023, they will start owing interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
