What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's dogs seriously impairing the safety of other persons on the rental property. The Landlord submitted evidence of three separate incidents where the Tenant's dogs attacked or bit people on the property.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective September 30, 2021. The Tenant was ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee. If the unit is not vacated by September 30, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement, and the Tenant will owe the Landlord $27.95 per day in compensation for use of the unit after that date.
