What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that Landlords harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with them and substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex. The application was initially dismissed, but the Tenants requested a review as they did not receive the Notice of Hearing. The review application was granted and the case was heard afresh.

The ruling

The Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 does not apply to the relationship between the Landlord and Tenants as they shared the kitchen and bathrooms. The Tenants' application is dismissed.
