What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the terms of a previous mediated settlement.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 15, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $2,581.49, less any amount paid after the application was filed, which represents rent arrears and costs from the previous application. The Tenants must also pay $24.26 per day for compensation for use of the unit from February 5, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 15, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
