What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay compensation for the money they should have paid had they not misrepresented their income or the income of a member of their family. The Tenants were the building superintendents, and their employment was terminated on October 30, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2022, and the Tenants must move out by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $1,986.40 in compensation and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 19, 2022, they will start to owe interest on the outstanding balance.
