What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Landlord also claimed NSF cheque charges and related administration charges.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of February 28, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $4,084.66, which represents the amount of rent owing up to February 28, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the deposit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by December 4, 2021, they will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
