What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (TEL-05425-19) issued on August 19, 2020. The Tenant failed to pay the lawful monthly rent in full on or before November 1, 2021, which was a breach of the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by January 28, 2022. The Tenant is ordered to pay $15,959.08 to the Landlord for rent arrears up to January 17, 2022, plus $50.96 per day starting January 18, 2022, until the Tenant moves out or is evicted. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 28, 2022, interest will be charged at 2.00% annually from January 29, 2022.
