What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The Tenant disputed the Landlord's position, claiming the rental unit is in a state of disrepair.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before July 31, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement starting August 1, 2020.
