What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent and substantial interference with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment of the property. The Tenants were smoking inside the rental unit, which was affecting the Landlord's husband's health.

The Tenants were ordered to pay $2,470 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears up to January 31, 2017 and the cost of filing the application. The Tenants were also ordered to pay $37.81 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting February 1, 2017 until they vacate the unit.
