What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant or another occupant committing an illegal act involving the production, trafficking, or possession of illegal drugs in the rental unit or residential complex. The Landlord submitted evidence of a police raid on the property and criminal charges against a guest of the Tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. If the Tenant does not vacate, they must pay the Landlord $32.88 per day in compensation and $186 for the application filing fee. If the amounts are not paid by January 31, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
