What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay rent owed. Tenants had vacated the rental unit on April 30, 2022, prior to the hearing date. Tenants did not pay the total rent required for the period from March 1, 2022 to April 30, 2022.
The ruling
The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $2,636.00, which includes rent arrears up to April 30, 2022, and the cost of the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by November 4, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 4.00% annually on the outstanding balance from November 5, 2022.
