The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2020, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,657.69, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, less the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 19, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
