What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on January 31, 2020 but did not pay the total rent owed for the period from October 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $7,600.00 in rent arrears and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 3, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
