What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlords or another tenant, and because the Tenants or an occupant of the rental unit committed an illegal act involving the possession of an illegal drug for the purposes of trafficking.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 12, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $9,497.93, which includes rent arrears, the application fee, and compensation for use of the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by September 12, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by September 12, 2021, the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
