What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination effective October 21, 2020 due to rent arrears.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $65.31, which represents the amount of rent and costs owing up to April 30, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 7, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.0% annually on the outstanding balance. The tenancy will not be terminated.
