What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The tenant was not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on August 14, 2022 unless the Tenant pays $2,770.80 by that date to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not make the required payment, they must vacate the unit by August 14, 2022. The Landlord is entitled to daily compensation of $73.20 for the Tenant's continued occupation of the unit starting July 8, 2022.
