What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also claimed NSF cheque charges and related administration charges.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 29, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,246.79, which includes rent arrears, compensation, NSF cheque charges, and application filing costs, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 29, 2020, the Tenant will owe interest starting December 30, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by December 29, 2020, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
