What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant had not paid the total rent owed for the period from December 24, 2020 to November 23, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 14, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $16,161.53, plus $55.89 per day starting November 4, 2021. If the Tenant pays $18,899.71 on or before November 14, 2021, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
