What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and the Tenant or another occupant committing an illegal act or carrying out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex, and seriously impairing the safety of any person.
The ruling
The Landlord's L2 application is dismissed as the Tenant was already evicted on September 16, 2020. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $27,130.13 in rent arrears and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application, totaling $27,320.13, by June 30, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by the due date, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
