What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from January 1, 2021 to January 31, 2021.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $1,742.22 in rent arrears and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by January 18, 2022, they will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
