What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 18, 2021. Tenants failed to pay rent from January 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 28, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $5,143.00 by that date. Tenants must pay $4,347.67 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $26.60 per day from January 18, 2022, until they move out. Tenants also owe $186.00 for the application filing fee. If full payment is not made by January 28, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
