What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their behavior seriously impairing the safety of others in the residential complex and adjacent building. The Tenants had taken control of the entire residential complex, including a second rental unit they did not have a right to occupy, and made unsafe electrical modifications.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 25, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay the amount owed by May 25, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
