What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant paid all arrears owing for the period ending April 30, 2020 after the application was filed. The tenancy terminated on April 30, 2020, the date the Tenant provided vacant possession to the Landlord. The only amount still outstanding is the Landlord's cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before September 14, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
