What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous consent order. The Tenant failed to meet the condition of the previous order to pay September 2021 rent plus $250 towards arrears by September 8, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 4, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,378.12 plus $16.44 per day from September 24, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 4, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
