What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing but did not attend.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless Tenants void the order by paying $12,500.00 by March 31, 2023, or $13,300.00 by April 11, 2023. If not paid, Tenants must vacate by April 11, 2023. Tenants to pay $26.30 per day from March 17, 2023, until they move out. Eviction may be enforced starting April 12, 2023, if the unit is not vacated.
