What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants did not attend the hearing to make submissions on preserving their tenancy.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 9, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $42.74 per day for use of the unit from July 30, 2021 until they move out, and $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 9, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
