What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), but the N4 notice did not correctly identify the rental unit.

The ruling

The previous order was cancelled and replaced. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlords $9,775.00, which includes rent arrears to April 30, 2021 and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 31, 2021, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
