What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to undue damage to the rental unit. The window in the rental unit was blown out during a storm, and the Landlords claimed the Tenants were responsible for the damage.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $480 for the cost of replacing the damaged window and $186 for the application fee, for a total of $666. The Landlords have the right to collect the full amount at any time, and if the Tenants do not pay by January 21, 2022, they will start to owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
