What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2022. The Tenant must pay $3,528.88 to the Landlord for compensation of unit use, less rent deposit and interest. Additional compensation of $105.21 per day is due from January 18, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting May 1, 2022 if the unit is not vacated.
