What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid the full rent from December 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020, and the Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective December 28, 2019. The ruling

The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant is denied, subject to the condition that the Tenant pays the arrears of $3,101 in two installments of $1,550.50 on September 20, 2020 and October 20, 2020. The rent for September 2020 and October 2020 must also be paid on time. If the Tenant fails to make any of the required payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
