What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on January 15, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from December 1, 2021 to January 15, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 15, 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $860.86, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit.
