What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 18, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $13,213.96 in rent arrears and application fees, plus $87.12 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting January 8, 2022 until the move-out date. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 18, 2022, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
