What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the application date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 4, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $7,399.12, plus $49.32 per day starting January 25, 2022 until they vacate the unit. The Tenants can void the eviction order by paying $9,186 on or before January 31, 2022, or $10,686 on or before February 4, 2022.
