What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Landlord's good faith requirement of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlord's father.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2022. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before February 28, 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,881.94 for compensation for use of the unit from October 1, 2021 to January 11, 2022, and $27.98 per day for compensation for use of the unit from January 12, 2022 to the date the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by February 28, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
