What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tenant Devon Mckenzie, because Bruce Manna has remained in the rental unit as an unauthorized occupant. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on April 1, 2020, and the Unauthorized Occupant has been in possession of the unit since then without paying rent.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenant is terminated as of April 1, 2020. The Unauthorized Occupant shall move out of the rental unit on or before June 18, 2021 and pay the Landlords $27,901.83, which includes compensation for use of the unit and the cost of filing the application. If the Unauthorized Occupant does not pay by June 20, 2021, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
