What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants had been late in paying rent for 11 out of 12 months between March 2019 and February 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by June 21, 2021. The Tenants owe the Landlords $25,554.50, including rent arrears, compensation for use of the unit, and the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by June 21, 2021, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
