What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a defective N4 Notice, so the Landlord requested to convert the application to an L9 application for arrears only.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,219, which includes $3,030 in rent arrears and $186 in application filing costs. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 29, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance. The eviction portion of the Landlord's application was dismissed.
