What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay full rent from August 1, 2020, to October 31, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 29, 2020. The Tenant made a partial payment of $1,200 after the application was filed but did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 5, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the full amount owed. The Tenant must pay $1,699.95 plus $5.39 per day from February 23, 2022, until move-out, and $186 for application costs. If full payment is not made by March 5, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting March 6, 2022.
