What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy but did not move out by the termination date. The Tenant also had not paid rent since February 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by March 7, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $201 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 7, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting March 8, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by March 7, 2021, the Landlord can file the order with the Court Enforcement Office to enforce the eviction.
