What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the terms of a previous mediated settlement. The Tenant failed to pay the full monthly rent on several occasions as required by the settlement.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 1, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $901 in rent arrears and costs, less the rent deposit and interest owed. The Tenant must also pay $18.58 per day in compensation for occupying the unit after August 21, 2020. If the full amount is not paid by September 1, 2020, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
