What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet certain conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 25, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,208.15, which includes rent arrears up to the order date and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit. The Tenant must also pay $4.57 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 15, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by October 25, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
