What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in the order issued by the Board on August 19, 2021 with respect to application SWL-48654-21. The condition was that the Tenants shall not permit any occupant of the rental unit to commit any illegal acts in the residential complex, including assaulting other residents. The Landlord submitted documentation that on August 22, 2021, Tenant TE committed an assault on the other Tenant RE, resulting in police intervention and the pressing of charges against TE.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before October 1, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
