What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 4, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $8,446.58, which includes the outstanding rent arrears and costs from the previous order, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $28.73 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting April 24, 2021 until they vacate. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by May 4, 2021, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
