What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous mediated settlement. The Tenant failed to pay rent and arrears on the dates specified in the settlement.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated and the Tenant must move out by August 24, 2020. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,111.38 for rent owing up to August 13, 2020 and the costs related to the previous application. The Tenant shall also pay $16.47 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting August 14, 2020 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 24, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
