What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent that they owed. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed, but had vacated the unit on April 8, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $7,511, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by September 9, 2022, the Tenants will start owing interest at 3% annually on the outstanding balance.
