What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenants failed to pay full rent for December 2022 and January 2023, and did not pay the full amount towards arrears as required.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2023. Tenants must pay $10,990.00 plus $51.57 per day from March 21, 2023, until they vacate the unit. If not paid by March 31, 2023, interest will accrue at 5% annually. The Landlord may file for eviction with the Sheriff starting April 1, 2023, if the unit is not vacated.
