What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant has paid rent late 12 out of the last 12 months and has not paid any rent since June 2020.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 24, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before May 24, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by May 24, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
