What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The previous order required the Tenant to pay $139.41 for costs and damages by January 1, 2021, which the Tenant did not do.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 9, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $698.42 for unpaid compensation for damage and application fee from the previous order, plus $2.79 per day for compensation for use of the unit from January 30, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 9, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
