What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant has not paid the total rent owed from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, and the Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination effective May 6, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,969.67 in rent arrears and application costs, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay by February 28, 2021, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
