What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 4, 2022. The Tenant must move out by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,039.23 in compensation for use and occupation of the unit from January 31, 2022 to September 6, 2022, and an additional $4.77 per day from September 7, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 4, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
